More and more of us are getting are Christmas shopping done early, and I think that’s going to be the case in 2020. After a washout of a year, at least we’ve got Christmas to look forward to!
For those of us in the North East, we’ve got a plethora of shops to get our Christmas gifts in at Dalton Park. Located just a few minutes’ drive from me in County Durham, it’s one of my favourite places to shop and a must-visit for bargains.
Tom and I head to Dalton Park throughout the year, mainly to pick up outdoorsy gear for our active trips. We’ve found loads of serious bargains in the Adidas, Tog24 and New Balance there.
I’ve teamed up with Dalton Park to bring you some ideas for Christmas presents for everyone in your life this year. Hope it brings you some inspiration!
For him
Men are notoriously hard to shop for but if you’re looking for the perfect Christmas gift for your male partner this year, I’d head straight to Molton Brown.
The 50ml Mesmerising Oudh Accord & Gold Fragrance Gift Set will make him smell incredible. Trust me, all the men (and women) in Dubai wear oudh and I used to follow the aroma around the mall with my tongue hanging out! It’s such an alluring smell.
Molton Brown also have ultra masculine scents like Russian Leather and Black Pepper that come in gift sets that make good Christmas presents
For her
If you’re looking for a gift for a female partner, you can’t go wrong at Radley. Get her something she’ll actually use! The elegant leather backpack above caught my eye – it would be perfect for toting your work stuff around or for days out in the UK.
If you’re on a tight budget, the Radley store in Dalton Park always has generous discounts and there are various accessories you can buy for a fraction of the usual price. The reusable water bottles, mugs and jewellery all make lovely gifts for women who have everything.
For your secret santa at work
Is it just me, or do you tend to buy your secret santa something you would love? Unless you’ve managed to pick the office psychopath out of the hat this year, chocolate is always a good gift. The Lindt store in Dalton Park is like walking into paradise – with walls lined with their luscious melt-in-the-mouth chocolates.
You can pick a gifting tin and fill it with your gift receiver’s favourite flavours at the pick n’ mix style display, or take the easier route and pick up a cute chocolate teddy, santa or snowman. And if they don’t like chocolate? Well, you’ll just have to eat it yourself.
For your best friend
You probably haven’t seen enough of your best mate this year but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t been there for you. Show her what she means to you with the greatest gift of all: a poppin’ new highlight and palette from Too Faced.
I literally buy all of my makeup at Dalton Park’s Cosmetic Store. The prices are 25 to 30% cheaper than elsewhere and the ladies that work there are super friendly and knowledgeable about the products. As well as the usual make up bag staples like Clinique skincare, MAC lipsticks and Bobbi Brown foundations, they stock gift sets that are perfect for your best friend.
Too Faced has just arrived in-store and the Pretty, Sexy Rich gift set is so good you’ll want to pop one for yourself into your basket too. The palette has vivid glitters, creamy mattes, opulent shimmers and precious pearl shades and comes with their Better Than Sex Mascara which has rave reviews, and their Rich & Dazzling Lip Gloss in Raisin the Roof.
For mum
I have fond memories of carefully selecting a bottle of White Musk for my mum in The Body Shop as a pre-teen and I still go back every Christmas to see what’s new. This year, there’s a huge Christmas display at the Dalton Park store with various heavenly scented gift sets.
The Warm Vanilla and Festive Berry body washes smell good enough to eat and there are lots of fun stocking fillers, from hand creams to Christmas Pudding shower puffs.
For Dad
I always struggle to find a unique present for my Dad that departs from his usual liquorice and socks package, but this year I’m going to mix things up with a few bits from here and there. A Molton Brown fragrance and a fun Christmas Pudding shower puff from the Body Shop will fill his stocking.
I know he’ll still be hunting for the usual offerings though, so a pint in the local (if we’re ever allowed to do that again) and a cheap bag of liquorice should stop him moaning!
Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? How early do you usually finish? I used to be quite last minute but I have a feeling I’ll be more prepared this year – although I know for a fact I’ll constantly get tempted to add to my present stash as December approaches!
As mentioned at the beginning of this post, this is a paid partnership. Views are my own.
